ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Provides basic library services to students, staff, faculty, and members of the public, in-person or remotely, includes assisting with some audiovisual (AV) and computer equipment.
- Provides circulation services to library users including routine shelf reading.
- Assists with processing of library materials.
- Assists with library displays and programs.
- Assists with maintaining a current inventory of library AV equipment and supplies.
- Assists with training and oversight of student worker assignments.
- West Campus only: coordinates exhibits in the Rao Musunuru M.D. Art Gallery
- May assist with setting up and using audiovisual equipment in the classroom and public presentations.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule, potentially including evening and/or weekend hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS - Standard High School diploma or GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES - Ability to provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and members of the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, faculty, and members of the public. Ability to learn and utilize computer equipment, software, and new technologies in performance of day-to-day work.
- Experience with Microsoft applications, computers, and online searching.
- Experience with general AV equipment.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task, and problem-solve effectively.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - One (1) year of college from a regionally accredited institution
- Knowledge of standard library practices and procedures
