Estimator Project Manager

Location/Onsite: St. George, UT | On-site

A Day in the Life of the Estimator Project Manager

You’ll be the bridge between bid day and project completion, leading estimating efforts and managing awarded jobs through to the finish line. This role is hands-on, detail-driven, and collaborative—working closely with field teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality, on-budget electrical projects. You'll be critical to ensuring smooth coordination from preconstruction through execution.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for utility and commercial electrical projects
• Review drawings, specs, and bid documents to identify opportunities and risks
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and design coordination sessions
• Write scope letters, bid proposals, and solicit pricing from vendors and subs
• Develop project schedules and resource plans
• Oversee field coordination, material procurement, and subcontractor performance
• Track budgets, labor hours, material usage, and change orders
• Lead project meetings, resolve issues, and keep all stakeholders aligned
• Maintain clear project documentation and communicate updates to leadership and clients
• Foster strong relationships with clients, engineers, vendors, and internal teams

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Electrical Journeyman License
• 4-5 years of experience in electrical estimating and/or project management
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
• Proficient in estimating software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Knowledge of design-build electrical projects and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
• Ability to analyze cost reports and forecast project outcomes
• Are you willing and able to work 4/10s with 3-day weekends, occasionally a Friday if overtime is needed
