Job Title: Thermal Engineer

Background
The Structural & Thermal-Fluids Engineering Group provides innovative multidisciplinary engineering solutions though the development of advanced mechanical and aerospace technologies for sea, ground, air, and space-based prototype systems for national security applications.
Responsibilities:
The team requires a thermal engineer to support the design, analysis, and testing of prototype systems. These systems span a range of potential environments from ground, underwater, airborne, and space. Systems feature high power dissipating components such as laser terminals, RF components, and computing platforms. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary engineering team contributing to the development of operational prototype hardware, spanning the full program life cycle from concept development to on-orbit test. The position may require special security clearances and travel to meetings and field sites.
Strong background in thermal engineering and thermal architecture design
Demonstrated experience using thermal/fluids analysis software (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL, Thermal Desktop, ICEPAK, etc.)
The candidate must have experience with printed circuit board (PCB) thermal and mechanical analyses to support design and reliability assessment
5+ years of experience
Nice to Have:
Education & Experience : Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience
Clearance : An active secret clearance required
