Staff Accountant - 3 Days Remote in Bethesda

About the Company and Opportunity:

• Our client is a non-profit organization in Bethesda whose focus is to strengthen communities in America.
• Due to a project, they are hiring a temporary Staff Accountant in their Bethesda office!
• Position is hybrid (3 out, 2 in) and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-4pm. Laptop is provided and is metro accessible!
• Pay is $30-34/hr - a great place to network, learn new software, and keep your skills alive!
• This position is temporary , but for the right candidate it could go permanent !

Overview of the Staff Accountant role:

• AP - processing approximately 50-75 invoices per week
• AR - processing payments (check, ACH, wires, cash), respond to customer inquires, preparing invoices
• Post journal entries to general ledger

Preferred Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years' accounting experience
• Non-profit experience is a plus
• Proficient in Excel
• Sage Intacct and bill.com is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
