We are currently hiring a Sr. Manager of Rail Fleet and Logistics. What You'll Do... Responsible for Managing the movements, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of a fleet of 2,300 railcars. Leads development and execution of rail logistics plans and strategies in alignment with the business supply chain strategies to provide a logistics competitive advantage. Accountable for determining logistics related gaps to plan and developing/executing improvement plans to meet Supply Chain needs. Provide functional logistics, data & rail inventory guidance for Landfill, Transfer stations, Post collections sales and supporting teams. Responsible for the proactive strategy, development, execution, and sustainability of all Railcar R&M processes Develop various reports as needed to support strategy and execution of the rail logistics team. Document and track Railcar loading / and offloading of Intercompany and Third-Party customers. Develop / Execute strategies with the Railroads to improve the fluid movement of railcars and mitigate loss due to missed service. Document and track rail service failures with rail carriers. Provide first level of escalation for rail shipment management, tracking and issues with RR. Handle day to day customer requests and pipeline inquiries. Facilitate KPI’s and run various Cross functional Team Meetings: Occasional weekend coverage of railcar releases / pipeline MGMT. Position will have at least 1 direct report: Rail Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for the execution of all railcar repair and maintenance activities, policies, and training. Track / Dispute Rail R&M settlements. Proactive and Strategic R&M Home shop contract negotiations and R&M Budgetary tracking. Rail Logistics Daily Activity Primary support Who You Are... ~ Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience, or 5+ years of equivalent experience in developing, executing, and managing rail logistic strategies ~5+ years of experience in Rail Supply Chain, Operations, Analytical or Railcar fleet management. ~ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details ~ Effective written and verbal communication skills ~ Strong interpersonal and influencing skills in a cross functional setting. ~ Solid technical skills in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas. ~ Waste or transportation environment is a plus At WIN Waste Innovations, each eligible employee receives a competitive total compensation package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Short Term Disability.
