The Sr. Analyst – FP&A is responsible for analyzing the operational, logistical, and financial results of the company’s business activities. The Sr. Analyst – FP&A will be responsible for supporting Campbell’s financial, profitability, and data integrity efforts as well as assisting with strategic and routine business analysis and reporting. This position will work out of our Post Oak Office in Houston, TX and report to our Managing Director in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania Corporate Headquarters.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Gain a deep understanding of the corporate financial structure and leverage this insight in financial analyses.
  • Prepare and distribute regular financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support strategic decisions by performing financial and economic analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.
  • Review logistics and operational performance to enhance profitability and efficiency; analyze metrics such as barge utilization and contract profitability.
  • Lead initiatives to identify and rectify workflow inefficiencies, recommending and implementing improved business practices.
  • Maintain responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s cost/pricing models and support the Logistics team with data-driven operational assumptions.
  • Maintain and produce insightful analysis from data warehousing which includes the corporation’s logistical asset management systems, maintenance and compliance databases, other corporate departmental data sources.
  • Collaborate with IT and Logistics teams to evolve asset management systems and reporting frameworks using tools like Tableau and SQL.
  • Collaborate with Accounting team to better tie the Company’s financial performance to key operating metrics.
  • Present analyzed data and model results effectively to senior management prior to bid submissions, ensuring meticulous self-review for accuracy.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary, contributing to team efforts and accomplishing related results as required.

Minimum Educational and Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior, lead or supervisory role.
  • 4+ year experience of Tableau or related BI tool.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL queries.
  • Self-motivated and self-organized.
  • Research mindset for finding solutions to business problems.

Preferred Educational and Job Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration.
  • Proven experience as an FP&A lead or supervisor, particularly in the transportation or marine industry.
  • Expert proficiency in BI related tools and SQL.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software such as Planful (formerly Host Analytics).
