A Day in the Life Renal Denervation (RDN) is an innovative procedure that helps patients lower blood pressure. The technique targets specific nerves near the kidneys that can become overactive and cause hypertension, a global epidemic affecting one-third to one-half of adults. We are seeking an experienced people manager with an affinity for field-based work, a collaborative style, and a growth mindset. The Senior Market Development Manager will oversee Market Development Specialists in the West Area, partnering with Area Sales Directors to support market management. This role involves oversight of activities related to account selection and the implementation of market development strategies in the field. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a developing, dynamic team responsible for introducing the Symplicity Blood Pressure Procedure to the US market. This therapy received FDA approval in November 2023. Join the US RDN launch team to help bring this novel therapy to US hypertension patients. We seek leaders at every level with a clear vision, bold and inclusive thinking, and innovative ideas that benefit patients, business partners, and customers. A DAY IN THE LIFE: Partner with Sales Area Directors to support market development strategies. Elevate ideas from the MDS team and customers to shape referral and patient education strategies. Become an expert in clinical data and hypertension program resources for team members and partners. Oversee the field-based MDS team through rides, coaching, and feedback, ensuring consistent program implementation. Participate in high-level customer meetings representing Market Development alongside local MDS and sales reps. Drive CRM utilization within the team and collaborate with sales operations for accurate reporting. Build trust with District Managers for account review and program implementation. Manage the program budget, report on expenditures, and meet financial goals. Hire and onboard new team members, working with the Sales Training Director. Develop relationships with society leaders, patient advocacy groups, and key opinion leaders. Conduct performance reviews and support career development. Support a positive team culture centered on collaboration, ethics, and execution. Partner with reimbursement and clinical teams to meet customer needs. Ensure compliance with legal and organizational guidelines for program implementation. Provide regular updates to the Director of Market Development. Must Have: Bachelor's Degree Minimum ten years in marketing, program or market development, or sales (eight years with an advanced degree) Minimum five years of managerial experience Nice to Have: MBA or Master’s in Business, Hospital Administration, Nursing, or Life Science Experience in healthcare marketing, consultative selling, or medical devices/pharmaceuticals Experience working in a hospital CV suite or with hypertensive patients Experience in market development and performance tracking Physical Job Requirements The above statements describe the general nature of the work. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (USD): $157,600 - $236,400. This position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan. Compensation varies based on experience, education, market, and location.
