About the Company and Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst Opportunity:

• CFS is partnering with a repeat client, a very stable non profit in the Columbia, MD area. They are looking to bring on a Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst who would like to learn and grow within the company!
• This opportunity starts on a temporary basis and can become permanent for the right candidate depending on performance and fit
• Schedule: The Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst role is fully on site in Columbia, MD. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm. Candidate must be available for occasional evening meetings.
• Reports directly to the Director of Finance
• Annual Salary starting at $78,000

Overview of the Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst role:

• Prepare and verbally present segment financial statements, analysis, budgets, forecasts, and notes to BoD
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense transactions into QuickBooks
• Process monthly advertising invoice and collection recording
• Prepare monthly bank account and general ledger reconciliation
• Process expense reports and vendor payments
• File quarterly MD sales tax
• Respond to audit and regulatory tax requests as needed

Qualifications for the Senior Financial Accountant/Analyst

• Bachelor's degree or in Accounting, Finance or related required. Candidates who have or are pursuing their CPA or Masters in a related field a plus
• 2-3 years of financial accounting experience
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software required
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail oriented, good time management and multitasking abilities, and highly organized
• Great problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong presentation skills and ability to speak with board members
