Senior Accountant

Our client , a leader in the manufacturing space, is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Accountant to join their hybrid team. The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling transactions, and supporting month-end and quarterly financial close processes.

As a Senior Accountant , you will focus on the following core tasks:

• Daily Cash Reconciliation (60%)

  • Perform and validate daily cash reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across multiple accounts.
  • Address discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Credit Card Transactions (10%)

  • Pull monthly credit card statements, research and post transactions, and ensure proper coding.
  • Process accrual journal entries to capture unposted transactions.

• Temporary/Contract Labor Invoice Processing (10%)

  • Review and process invoices weekly.
  • Verify approvals and ensure timely payments.

• Reconciliations and Month-End Close Support (20%)

  • Execute various reconciliations, including general ledger and account-specific tasks.
  • Manage accruals for month-end and assist with statement cut-off processes each month.

As a Senior Accountant , you'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and support quarterly financial responsibilities.

Must-Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (flexible for proven experience in accrual-based reconciliations).
• Strong expertise in cash management and reconciliations.
• Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and accrual entries.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally SAP Business One or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP for reconciliation tasks.

Pluses:

• CPA designation or active pursuit.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting processes or similar industries.
