Position: SAP FICO Functional Consultant
Description:
Role Overview: The client is seeking functional and technical support for the Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) functions in an SAP environment, specifically supporting over 5,000 users working across modules such as ECC 6.0, BI 7.0, Business Objects, CRM, SRM, Enterprise Portal, Solution Manager, GRC, and NWCEP. FI/CO support includes, but is not limited to:
- Providing guidance in aligning Client\'s business processes with SAP Best Practices functionality.
- Performing functional configuration and customization.
- Maintaining system integrity and component integration with SAP ECC and Enterprise Portal.
- Writing functional and technical specifications.
- Developing test plans and performing system testing.
Fiscal Accountability: The fiscal management of the Client\'s diverse activities is complex, requiring a robust business system to deliver meaningful, accurate, and timely information for various end users, government entities, and administrative needs.
Role Responsibilities: - Responsible for solution design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of SAP FI/CO modules (AP, AR, FA, GL, SPL) in ECC 6.0.
- Responsible for solution design, configuration, testing, and maintenance of SAP FM modules and SAP Budget.
- Experience and knowledge of integration points between FI/CO/FM modules and other SAP modules.
- Provide production support by troubleshooting, investigating, analyzing, and resolving software problems.
- Work with business users and clients to gather/document business requirements and develop suitable solutions.
- Analyze the impact of changes on internal and external business systems.
- Develop all documentation related to system changes, adhering to NCDOT change control policies and procedures.
Requirements: Required Skills and Experience: - 7+ years of experience with configuration of SAP Finance and Controlling.
- 7+ years of experience with configuration of SAP Funds Management.
- 5+ years consulting with clients/team members on standard or custom solutions.
- 5+ years ability to interpret and communicate information, solicit appropriate info, and select best method/format for presenting info.
- 5+ years experience writing functional/technical specifications, testing, and training.
Highly Desired Skills: - 5+ years of Public Sector experience.
- Experience with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Experience with S/4 HANA (Finance).
