Express Employment Professionals is partnering with one of our international manufacturing clients in St. Paul/Shoreview area to help hire multiple temp to hire Electronic Assemblers with microscope and soldering experience for their 1st and 2nd shift. Our client is starting experienced assemblers at $18-$20.80 depending on shift and qualifications.

Upon completion of the temp to hire evaluation period, all employees will be eligible for world class benefit package, that includes the following, health, dental, vision coverage, PTO, sick time, education assistance and 401K match.

Medical Assembler

This job builds assigned instruments or components and requires some experience with soldering, working under microscopes, mechanical assembly, and packaging. Under general supervision, the General Assemblers may be assigned to perform mechanical assembly, sensor mounting, calibration, packaging, or building new instruments from specifications. They must be willing and able to perform a variety of duties (rotate) within the assigned production areas (cells) as required.

Medical Assembler Duties:

• Demonstrated ability to perform soldering under a microscope.
• Use of hand tools and wire crimping
• Perform assembly duties in other areas and cells as needed.
• Willing and able to assist others with their commitments when they are overloaded.
• Demonstrated ability to work from approved drawings and procedures.
• Requires judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of set-ups, operations, and processes.
• Basic computer skills including the ability to check reports and record information.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills in order to ask questions, get clarifications, and make suggestions.
• Proficient at addition, subtraction, multiplication, and making measurements.
• Proficient at reading instructions and procedures.
• General working knowledge of measuring devices and test equipment.

Medical Assembler Duties:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 1 year of related production/manufacturing experience

• 1 year of soldering experience

• 1 year of microscope experience

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
