We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Coburg, OR ).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

•Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

•Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

•Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

•Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

•Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

•Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

(Entry):

•Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

•Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality

(Intermediate):

•Completes complex internal engine repairs

•Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision

(Advanced):

•Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

•Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

•Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

DOT (if applicable)

Qualifications

This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD. This position will be part of the FTA pool.

• A current valid CDL is required for this role.
• This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
• This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
• This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
• Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
• This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
