Job Description

A leading manufacturing company based in Medina, NY is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join their growing team. This role will support business units with month-end financial closing, cost analysis, fixed asset management, plant capital investments, and team support.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Essential Functions:

• Perform month-end financial close, including recording manufacturing expenses, depreciation, taxes, and overhead expenses.
• Provide manufacturing cost and variance analysis.
• Analyze monthly financial results and key operating metrics, and communicate findings to management.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and other entities as needed.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and help identify and address weaknesses.
• Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Provide financial support for capital development projects, from justification to installation.
• Work with the management team to develop and maintain standard costs, routers, and department burden rates.
