Job Description
Media Real Estate, A Media, PA-based Property Management Company, is seeking a
full-time Appliance Install and Repair Technician to join our team! This person will join our Service department. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with prior experience in the maintenance and repair of appliances. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnose & Repair Appliances - Troubleshoot and fix a variety of household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers.
- Perform Routine Maintenance - Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of appliances and reduce future repair needs.
- Ensure Safety & Compliance - Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations, including EPA guidelines for refrigerant handling.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service - Communicate effectively with customers, explain repair processes, and offer maintenance tips.
- Maintain Accurate Records - Document service calls, repairs performed, and parts used for proper tracking and customer history.
- Order & Replace Parts - Identify defective components, source necessary parts, and complete replacements efficiently.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends - Keep up with the latest appliance technologies, repair techniques, and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various household appliances, such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens
- Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service and clear communication
- Strong time management skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently
- Strong tenant relations: customer service
- Must have own vehicle and tools - with valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
