About the Internship
Giraffe Media Group is excited to welcome Accounting Summer Interns to gain hands-on experience in financial policy development and internal controls. This internship provides an opportunity to collaborate with experienced finance professionals in drafting, refining, and implementing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in researching, drafting, and refining AP, AR, and general accounting policies
• Analyze best practices and compliance standards for financial operations
• Contribute to the development of internal controls to improve financial accuracy and efficiency
• Support documentation efforts related to financial governance and reporting structures
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment with GAAP standards and corporate objectives
• Participate in policy review discussions, incorporating feedback from finance leadership
Qualifications & Skills
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical, research, and documentation skills
• Interest in policy development, regulatory compliance, and internal controls
• Proficiency in Excel and financial documentation; experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
